Desert-tea

This piece represent a teapot burried under the sand, reappearing between the dunes as if the wind was blowing. The dunes have been turned and hollowed on the lathe, then carved using powertools and gouges. The teapot was turned and hollowed, then sandblasted and dyed using Indian ink and gilding wax. It has been placed in the dunes from the hollowing on the back.
