Lipara is an aerian fish. Inspired by Christophe Nancey’s technique, it was turned and craved out of a single piece of oak. The head and the outside of the tail are turned on the lathe with two grooves to separate them. Those grooves are carved like a ribbon, linking the head and the tail, it was then sanded, textured and the ribbon was dyed with spirit stain and gilding wax. The mouth was textured with a woodburner.
