This sculpture is made out of basswood with natural edge. It was carved and burnt. This sculpture is very emblematic of my work, it is one of the first pieces I made out of scrapwood that were supposed to become firewood. The shape and the natural edge just asked to be enlightened by a texture burnt to match the moon shape, giving the piece a second life.
