This piece is the hybrid of a puffer fish and a angler fish. It has been turned and hollowed out of maple, the tails was carved out of the lathe, the spikes and teeth were carved with a Dremel. The lantern was turned in hackberry really thin and steambent out of the lathe. At first I left the wood natural and decided to dye it with Indian ink and gliding wax on the teeth and the tip of the lantern right before it went to his new owner.
