These spinning tops are made out of boxwood primarily. This heavy wood make them really stable and they can spin for a very long time. The handles however are in a lighter wood like yew or ash, the excentric ones are in boxwood or hornbeam to be more resistant. They are dyed with Indian ink and the metalic effect on some of them is made with gilding wax.
